2 November, AtoZForex.com, Lagos — FXPrimus already being a fully licensed online brokerage firm domiciled in the Republic of Mauritius and in New Zealand, also regulated by the Financial Services Commission (FSC) and currently holds a Category 1 Global Business License granted by the FSC, and is also registered with the Financial Service Providers Register (FSPR) of New Zealand.
Even with these regulations, the firm looks towards even greater reach, as it obtains its licence from the Cyprus securities and exchange commission in a bid to penetrate the Cypriot market further. With the new license, FXPrimus has set itself up to show to its customers that they are trading with an EU regulated broker fully in compliance with MiFID directives.
Meeting primary 2015 goals
As FXPrimus obtains CySEC license, the broker's President Mr. Terry Thompson has commented the following: “This is quite a big step for FXPrimus in terms of meeting some of our primary goals for 2015 and beyond. It gives us greater access to the European market. While we’ve established quite a footprint in Asia, we recognize the importance of having more of a global reach, and a European license puts us in a better position to accomplish this. Last but not least, Mr. Terry Thompson has opined upon the process of acquiring the CySEC license: “The process in obtaining a CIF license is quite extensive, but a process we were more than happy in committing to. We look forward to working with CySEC and are appreciative of the issuance of the license.”
